Nairobi is the largest city in East Africa. It began as a shanty town depot of the East African Railroad in 1899. In almost 100 years it has become one of the major cities of modern Africa and a headquarters of the United Nations. It is a vibrant and growing city - a mosaic of many races and cultures. It boasts 11 golf courses and a wide variety of excellent restaurants and it is a unique capital city with a wildlife park on its doorstep.

You will be taken on a sightseeing tour of Nairobi landmarks and shopping markets past the Nairobi National Park and then to the Karen area and visit the former home of Karen Blixen, author of ''Out of Africa''. Now a museum, you may explore the beautiful house and grounds at leisure before proceeding to the giraffe center. There you will be able to see giraffes at close range and even feed them.
